Things to do in the Summer Part 2

If you are planning on going somewhere this summer, but still haven’t decided, here are some ideas. These aren’t huge vacations like going to a different continent but cheaper and simpler things to do.

1. Your local waterslides

I think most places have a water park somewhere close, but if you aren’t anywhere near one, a swimming pool works too.

2. Host a party

Invite all your friends to come over and hang out. If you have a pool and it’s a hot day, even better! Or maybe a water gun fight…

3. Make popsicles

What’s your favourite drink? Apple juice? Lemonade? A smoothie? No matter what drink you have, you can turn it into a popsicle (It’s easier if you have containers specifically made for popsicles).

4. Paint rocks

Everyone should have some place they can pick up rocks from. Just grab a rock and some paint, and paint it however you want. I think acrylic paint works the best on rocks.

5. Get a summer job

This depends on how old you are of course, but you could work at Starbucks, or even just mow people’s lawns or walk their dogs. Easy money ;)

6. Do an art project

If you don’t have many art supplies, go to a store like Michaels and they will likely have everything you need. You can draw and paint, or do a big DIY project. There are lots of examples on YouTube, like making a minecraft diamond sword out of wooden cubes. Click here to watch that video.

7. Make your own clothes

If you don’t know anyone who can teach you, there will be some videos on the internet (because there are videos for everything on the internet). You can start with simpler things like a plain t-shirt, and then move on to the more complex stuff.

8. Try new styles

Whether it’s your hair, makeup, or clothes, there are many ways to wear them. You might be surprised at how many different styles suit you. For example, if you always have your hair down, try braiding it. If you are a guy who has hair growing straight down, try putting it up with hair gel for a day.

9. Make music videos

Summer is the best time of year to make videos. You can do it in your backyard, or at the beach, or wherever. VideoStar is a good app to use (There are a few free songs but apart from that you can only use songs you’ve bought on iTunes).

10. Make a bucket list

Make a bucket list and try to do as much of it as you can this summer. I doesn’t have to be going to Bora Bora or becoming the president of America, but it can just be something like going off the high dive at your local swimming pool.

I hope this helped you guys! Thanks for subscribing to our blog and even just reading our posts :)
