Things to do in the Summer Part 2

If you are planning on going somewhere this summer, but still haven’t decided, here are some ideas. These aren’t huge vacations like going to a different continent but cheaper and simpler things to do.

1. Your local waterslides

I think most places have a water park somewhere close, but if you aren’t anywhere near one, a swimming pool works too.

2. Host a party

Invite all your friends to come over and hang out. If you have a pool and it’s a hot day, even better! Or maybe a water gun fight…

3. Make popsicles

What’s your favourite drink? Apple juice? Lemonade? A smoothie? No matter what drink you have, you can turn it into a popsicle (It’s easier if you have containers specifically made for popsicles).

4. Paint rocks

Everyone should have some place they can pick up rocks from. Just grab a rock and some paint, and paint it however you want. I think acrylic paint works the best on rocks.

5. Get a summer job

This depends on how old you are of course, but you could work at Starbucks, or even just mow people’s lawns or walk their dogs. Easy money ;)

6. Do an art project

If you don’t have many art supplies, go to a store like Michaels and they will likely have everything you need. You can draw and paint, or do a big DIY project. There are lots of examples on YouTube, like making a minecraft diamond sword out of wooden cubes. Click here to watch that video.

7. Make your own clothes

If you don’t know anyone who can teach you, there will be some videos on the internet (because there are videos for everything on the internet). You can start with simpler things like a plain t-shirt, and then move on to the more complex stuff.

8. Try new styles

Whether it’s your hair, makeup, or clothes, there are many ways to wear them. You might be surprised at how many different styles suit you. For example, if you always have your hair down, try braiding it. If you are a guy who has hair growing straight down, try putting it up with hair gel for a day.

9. Make music videos

Summer is the best time of year to make videos. You can do it in your backyard, or at the beach, or wherever. VideoStar is a good app to use (There are a few free songs but apart from that you can only use songs you’ve bought on iTunes).

10. Make a bucket list

Make a bucket list and try to do as much of it as you can this summer. I doesn’t have to be going to Bora Bora or becoming the president of America, but it can just be something like going off the high dive at your local swimming pool.

I hope this helped you guys! Thanks for subscribing to our blog and even just reading our posts :)

Happy 4th of July!

I would like to say Happy 4th of July to all the Americans out there! Today a lot of parades, festivals, sales and concerts from the local choir or band. Get out there and celebrate!

However, if you don’t know what to do today, you can always check out our Things to Do tag. There’s loads of ideas that you could do and also get inspiration from. If none of those ideas appeal to you, why not throw a party? Bake a cake, make some fruit salads and drinks and invite your friends, family and neighbours.

At night, you can visit a firework show. They are always neat to look at!

Hope you have a great 4th of July :)

Sorry!

Hey guys,

We’re sorry we haven’t been posting everyday. We’ve been really busy, and I know it sounds like an excuse that everyone uses but it’s true. We will try to keep up the posting, so please don’t give up hope! Also comment if there are any specific things you want us to do a post on.

Happy Canada Day!

Happy Canada Day to all you proud Canadians out there! Take a little time today to think about how lucky you are to live in a place like Canada, where you have so many freedoms and rights, and where all kids can go to school, and where you have such good medical technology and insurance. It is one of the safest countries in the world. That’s not to say that Canada is the only country with these things, but since it’s Canada Day I thought I’d emphasize on that especially. So any Canadians that are reading this, I think you should show pride for your country and at least do something like draw a Canadian flag and hang it up somewhere inside or outside your house. Or if you have a real flag, wave it loud and proud!

Finding Hobbies

Some of you are having troubles finding a hobby, or finding a hobby that you will enjoy and keep for a long time. I have came up with some ideas for hobbies that some of you would like, and if you don’t, you can always contact us if you need help with more ideas.

1. Card Making

I’m not sure if all of you (even the boys + men) are into card making, but you can use this hobby as a living, as well! You can buy special paper for the cards, stamps and stuff like that. It’s not really cheap for the supplies, but for me personally, it’s pretty worth it.

2. Blogging!

Just like Emma and I have. Our hobby is blogging; you can make a pretty easy personal blog with Word press or Blogger. In my opinion, Blogger is much easier to use, and not that over-whelming. But, you can decide on which one, depending on your style. You can blog about anything; sports, latest celebrity gossip, cooking recipes, schooling, arts, or just do journalism just like us ( A few competitors wont hurt a bit )

3. Making Crafts

Kinda like number one (card making) but with this hobby you can craft anything, not only cards.  You can make lots of things! Just search up ‘Crafting Ideas’

4. Create Your Own Stories

Creating our own story is a pretty cool hobby to me.  You can create a funny story, depressing, happy, exciting or sad story! There are truthfully endless possibilities in story making. Or, if you don’t like writing and your more of a drawing person, you can create comics! And better yet, if you feel like it, you can create your own blog about your stories/comics.

5. Create Your Own Accessories

You can create your own accessories! Either it’s fashion accessories, or accessories for your phone! Honestly, I wonder why I never did think of that hobby before….

Sorry that’s it mostly all girl hobbies… but if your a boy looking for a new hobby.. just contact us here. We will respond ASAP. Anyways, I hope I helped you with this post, and finding a hobby that fits you best!

Yogurt Dipped Strawberries

This is a delicious snack, perfect for the summer. Especially great for those summer parties! Let’s get into this quick recipe.

Ingredients:

  1. Strawberries
  2. Yogurt (any flavour)

Tutorial:

First, you’ll need to cut the strawberries in half. Once you’ve done that, grab the bowl of yogurt and start dipping all your strawberries. To finish it off, put them in the freezer and wait until it’s frozen!

That’s really all you need to do. It’s super easy to make and delicious too.

Have a great day :)
